Limited Blue coloured vinyl LP. London based indie label WIAIWYA are thrilled to announce a new addition to the family – Lila Tristram. Described as “The female Bon Iver” by BBC Producer Claire Slevin, Lila Tristram is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in East London. She is a graduate from Goldsmiths University, and should appeal to fans of Rozi Plain, Nick Drake, Emma Kupa, Joni Mitchell and John Martyn. During 2020 Lila has been self-releasing a number of digital singles, the latest of which, Anymore, sets a scene of heartbreak and acceptance; Reminiscent of folk revival, the song whispers its message through intricately fingerpicked open tuning, and gently weaving vocal melody. “In some ways this song represents defiance for me,” Lila admits, “It’s about that moment of acceptance that a relationship is over”. “Each song is a glimpse into a friendship or relationship in my life; romantic love, familial love and love shared between friends are all expressed in these songs, which is why I don't really get bored of playing them.” Intimate, fragile, honest, and gentle - her lyrics encompass the poetic nature of Aldous Harding, another of her major influences. All ten of these singles will be gathered together on (coloured) vinyl for release on WIAIWYA.
