With a title referring to the ultimate chaos, the big bang, La Panika delivers a daunting second album. Countless encounters have made this Macedonian-Bulgarian, French-Belgian formation to what it currently is. Their traditional gypsy repertoire from the Black Sea region is subject to West-European influences with an occasional side step to Turkish-oriental music.
For this release they collaborated with Nesko Nevez on accordion and top of the line producer Reinhard Vanbergen (Das Pop, Drums Are For Parades,...)
With virtuosity, melancholy and a healthy dose of madness La Panika delivers a compelling party. ‘Darmadan’ is the release with which they position themselves back at the forefront of European gypsy brassbands.
