This is an album of New Orleans dance music: something you often read about but here you are going to hear a rumba, a waltz, some fox trots and all the things that mean “dance.” Band leaders on this session in their own right on both Jazz Crusade and Upbeat Jazz are Jean-Pierre Alessi, Jacques Gauthé and of course Big Bill Bissonnette.
