Clarence Clemons, also known as “The Big Man”, was an American saxophonist, musician and actor. From 1972 until his death, he was a member of Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band, playing the saxophone. The album's big hit and Mr. Clemons only solo chart appearance is his duet with Jackson Browne that kicks off the album, "You're A Friend Of Mine". It's great to see a musician step from the shadows of a legend and make a mark on his own, and Clarence Clemons does that remarkably well here. One of the high-lites, "Liberation Fire" is an aggressive instrumental with some powerful sax work. The album's closer "Christina" is an ode to his wife at the time and is a great closer.
